TSA was formed by Steve Elsbury and Brian O'Hare, two highly experienced IT professionals who have a long history in both the IT consultancy and vendor markets. Throughout this period, they have experienced many of the problems faced by companies when dealing with IT vendors and consultants. The table below highlights a few such problems.

Vendor's Traits
|
Consultant's
Traits |
| High
license fees & Costly support agreements |
Here
today, gone tomorrow - How many times have you heard someone say
"That system was written by a contractor, who has now left and nobody
knows how it works" |
| Inflexibility
to changing requirements - As their system is not bespoke to
you, any changes you may require will either take a long time and/or will
cost a lot of money. |
Unreliable
skills - The market is now flooded with IT contractors. Many are
good, but just as many are not, and often you won't find out until the
middle of the contract. |
| Long
term tie ins - Due to the inflexibility mentioned above, it is
inevitable that the system will become outdated, but your tie to it will
remain, meaning either your business suffers, or a costly upgrade/complete
change of system is likely. |
Blinkered
approach - Most contractors concentrate on their own self-interest. Why work future proofing a system? If it goes wrong, that just means a contract extension!

TSA was created to present a paradigm shift in the provision of software development expertise and technology. Our goal is to provide cost effective solutions which are tailored to your needs but are flexible and responsive to changing requirements using skilled, experienced IT professionals.
Each TSA consultant is trained not only in software development, but more importantly in business and systems analysis, and thus has the ability to provide an end to end total solution.
A standard TSA package comprises the TSA Framework with an agreed amount of consultancy. This consultancy will usually be used both to complete the initial solution, and to train in-house staff in the use of the tools and technologies, for support and possible further development. At the end of the consultancy agreement, the client retains full rights to the source code, which may be freely amended.
How do we benefit?
We have found that once a client has used us to implement a solution, then they usually ask us to build/migrate other systems into the framework. We look to build on our relationship with each client to provide dedicated and trusted long term quality resource thus creating a profitable relationship for both parties.
